The Bear Deluxe
During the junior year of my graphic design undergrad program, I was chosen from my class to work with the Portland magazine Bear Deluxe on a two page spread in their 34th issue. This was an exhilarating chance for me to work on a project for a unique client and to demonstrate both my illustration and typography skills. I was selected specifically out of all of my classmates because I was best able to interpret and conceptualize the themes in the piece, all while working within the identity of the magazine. The illustration style used in this piece was inspired by isometric, technical drawings and helps tell the story of dear overpopulation in suburban America through the passage of time.
